Traveling is becoming more and more convenient. The average traveler spends a lot of time bouncing from hotel to hotel, checking in and out. These rooms are expensive and half of the time, all of the space provided isn’t even needed. The POD Hotel is making a lot of travel sense to folks and becoming the wave amongst jet-setters.
The newest pod-style hotel to open is The POD in Singapore. The POD Singapore hosts 83 capsule-style rooms that were designed by Formwerkz Architects. The mini-rooms are designed with a bed, a reading light, a fold-out table and a locker to store personal items and luggage. The PODS come in various sizes with a single, double, or Queen size bed. There is also a female only POD situation that is especially for female travelers. The pods are set up in a big room and is separated by a privacy screen. The bathrooms are shared by an adjoining room. The hotel space provides the lounge, pantry, and laundry areas. POD prices start at about $53 for a single bed and go from there. This is a really cool idea and hopefully we will see more of these POD Hotels popping up.
